“Reading Is Not Optional,” Walter Dean Myers, National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature

Walter Dean Myers, the third National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, will give a Clinton School lecture titled “Reading is Not Optional” about his efforts to promote reading among young people. Myers is a critically acclaimed author of books for young people, including “Sunrise Over Fallujah,” “Fallen Angels,” “Monster,” and “All The Right Stuff.” He has received numerous accolades, including two Newbery Honor Awards and five Coretta Scott King Awards.
