Warrick Dunn, NFL star running back
March 4, 2009
Clinton School of Public Service (Sturgis Hall)

A star running back in the NFL, Warrick Dunn will discuss his book, "Running for My Life," about his football career, his work in public service and the personal loss of his mother, a police officer who was killed in the line of duty. A 12-year NFL veteran and three-time Pro Bowl selection, Dunn established his own nonprofit, the Warrick Dunn Foundation and the Homes for the Holidays program in memory of his mother. The program has helped 84 single parents purchase homes in Atlanta, Baton Rouge and Tampa. In 2005, Dunn received the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, the NFL's only honor for community service.
