The first major-college football player in a generation to be named a Rhodes Scholar, Florida State safety Mryon Rolle will discuss his life as the consummate “student-athlete” in a speech at the Clinton School. In January, Rolle announced that he will postpone his NFL career to spend a year studying at Oxford University, where he plans to earn a one-year master’s degree in medical anthropology. A second-team All Conference and third-team All-American for the Seminoles, Rolle earned a pre-med Exercise Science degree in just two and a half years with a 3.75 grade point average. His lecture is presented in partnership with the Arkansas Association of Public Universities.
