Prewett Joins BankWorx as Business Analyst

Recent graduate Wesley Prewett (’19) has joined BankWorx as a Business Analyst. Based in Little Rock, BankWorx is building a new core banking platform to better facilitate digital banking.

“We are trying to change the banking business model and make banks more productive and cost-effective,” Prewett said. “We are trying to free them up to do the type of community lending work that is transformational.”

Prewett will be based in Washington, D.C., for the remainder of the summer before relocating in September. A graduate of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a degree in economics and finance, Prewett will build financial models and business plans for BankWorx.

Prewett previously worked with Enclude, a capital advisory firm dedicated to building a more inclusive and sustainable financial system. Before joining Enclude, Prewett worked with Southern Bancorp, a community development financial institution that “balances profit with purpose.”

In the summer of 2018, he completed his International Public Service Project with Zoona in Cape Town, South Africa. Zoona is a mobile technology company developing financial products including money transfers, savings accounts, and credit products.
