Lauren Remedios (1983-2020), a 2014 graduate and cherished member of the Clinton School family, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in March. The leadership, faculty, staff, and alumni of the Clinton School are shocked and saddened.
Most recently, Remedios worked as an Evidence and Evaluation Manager at Winrock International. She spent five years conducting evaluations and research at Heifer International. She earned her bachelor’s degree in commerce in India before completing her master’s degree in English literature at Henderson State University.
Below is an excerpt from her obituary:
Lauren passed away tragically four days after giving birth to her baby boy, Zayn Vikram, leaving behind her husband, the love of her life, Craig Seager, her adoring three-year-old Zephryn Vir and Baby Zayn, her devastated Mum, Marilyn and sister, Kim.
Lauren was a fascinating, multifaceted personality, who explored travel and adventure, art and photography, fashion and fitness; she had gourmet culinary skills, and above all she was an ardent homemaker, and, as her Mother’s Day coffee mug says “Happiness is being a Mama.”
Lauren’s job and career – empowering impoverished communities – spanned continents, and she had a friendship network from Bahrain where she was born, India where she spent her teenage years, the USA where she attained citizenship, but at heart she was a Global Citizen. Her wonderful Life in giving joy was at full steam when she was called away.
Lauren’s beautiful Life and free Spirit will forever be celebrated by her family and friends.
