The Clinton School last week hosted the Project Citizen Arkansas state showcase, a curricular program for middle, secondary, and post-secondary students that promotes competent and responsible participation in local and state government.
Entries included portfolios from Russellville Middle School, Pottsville Middle School and Watson Chapel High School. The students worked on policy projects related to incorporating nap time into their school day, adding lights to school grounds and adding a variety of sports to be played at school.
Watson Chapel High School received an Exceptional rating for “Lights on Our Campus;” Pottsville Middle School received a Superior rating for “New Sports at Our School;” and Russellville Middle School received an Exceptional rating for their “Eyes Closed, Minds Open” portfolio and poster.
