“The Art of the Old West,” David Hunt, former curator of the Gilcrease Museum of Art in Tulsa, Okla.

– Hunt will discuss his work in compiling “The Art of the Old West,” a book of prints and stories of the paintings and sculptures of the American West. Hunt has spent his career curating and directing art exhibition activities throughout the western United States including Texas, Nebraska, Montana and Oklahoma.

“Combating the Causes of Terrorism,” Matthew Swift and Nicholas Logothetis

– Swift and Logothetis are the founders of Concordia – Partnerships Against Extremism, an organization that seeks to analyze and develop strategic initiatives to combat extremist behavior and thought, as well as the root causes of those that sympathize with terrorists.

“Behind Kremlin Walls: Putin, Medvedev and Russia’s Future,” Donald Kelly
Friday, March 11, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall)
– A professor of political science and senior research fellow at the Fulbright Institute of International Relations at the University of Arkansas, Kelly is a leading expert on Russia and the former Soviet Union.
