Pat’s Run

Clinton School graduate Hunter Riley (’09), who is director of programs for the Pat Tillman Foundation in Tempe, Ariz., passes along some information about the annual 4.2-mile “Pat’s Run,” which celebrates the life and legacy of the former Arizona Cardinals star and Army Ranger who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2004.

More than 20,000 racers are expected at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe for the race, which raises money and awareness for the foundation’s work to support veterans and their families, and to promote leadership development among college students.

Even those who can’t attend the event can help, Riley says. For a $30 donation, you can be a “t-shirt only runner” in your own Pat’s Run.

The foundation will send you a race-day t-shirt and you can run 4.2 miles on your own. Click here to sign up.

Riley oversees a number of leadership and scholarship programs for the foundation, including the Tillman Military Scholars program and the Tillman Scholars program at Arizona State University. Riley was introduced to the Tillman Foundation when Marie Tillman, Pat Tillman’s wife, visited the Clinton School for a public program in 2007.
