Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Congratulations to Clinton School student Chanley Painter who won the Miss Arkansas USA pageant this weekend. Painter will represent the state in the Miss USA competition which will be televised nationally on NBC on April 19 in Las Vegas. The winner of Miss USA goes on to compete for Miss Universe.
Hailing from Conway, Painter was a Presidential Scholar at the University of Central Arkansas where she earned a degree in Political Science and Speech Communication. She’s been a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the American Lung Association of Arkansas and the United Way, among numerous other activities. A former Arkansas fiddle champion, Painter was a runner-up to Miss Arkansas in both 2007 and 2008. She has entered joint MPS/JD program with the Clinton School and the Bowen School of Law at ULAR and finished her first year at the Bowen School at the top of her class.
