Our International Campus

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – In spite of increased hostility toward the United States abroad, the international student population at American colleges and universities is growing, according to reports from the State Department. Click here for an article from USINFO detailing this trend. Included in the story is a picture of Clinton School student and Jordanian citizen Lukman Arsalan who attended The University of Delaware before coming to Little Rock.

It seems colleges and universities are internationalizing their campuses in order to create an atmosphere of global awareness, not only for the international students themselves, but also for their American classmates. At the Clinton School, we’ve seen this theory play out first hand. Of our current student population, 15 percent are international, representing a wide range of countries and cultures including Jordan, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Brazil, Kenya, South Africa and Haiti. Each of these students brings a unique perspective and culture to the Clinton School, adding a truly international feel to this school dedicated to global public service.
