In a Time of War

Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – As we’ve noted below, Bill Murphy Jr., author of “In a Time of War: The Proud and Perilous Journey of West Point’s Class of 2002,” will be speaking at the Clinton School on Wednesday. The critically acclaimed book chronicles the journey of the first West Point class in a generation to graduate during war time. The video below serves as a preview of Murphy’s book and appearance at the Clinton School. Also, click here to read a recent article Murphy wrote for TheAtlantic.com about why Americans have become accustomed to sacraficing so little during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Murphy, an attorney and former Army Reserve officer, recently reported from Iraq for the Washington Post and has served as an assistant to legendary journalist and author Bob Woodward. He speaks at the Clinton School on Wednesday at noon. To RSVP, email us at publicprograms@clintonschool.uasys.edu.
