Clinton School Online Enrolls Third Cohort

The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service has enrolled 33 new students in Clinton School Online, its entirely online degree program. Classes for the program’s third cohort began today.

Clinton School Online offers professionals a practical skill set and knowledge base to enhance their opportunities for leadership in public service. The online program is designed for people working in their desired field, giving them the enhanced knowledge, skills, and network needed to advance their careers without relocating or disrupting their personal lives.

“A unique component of our online program is students take just one course every eight weeks,” University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service Dean James L. “Skip” Rutherford III said. “This enables them to keep their jobs and have personal and professional flexibility without having to relocate.”

Clinton School Online builds on the success of the school’s traditional Master of Public Service (MPS) degree, which graduated its first class in 2006 and enrolled its 15th class in August 2019. The first cohort of the online degree program will graduate in May.

This year’s class includes representatives from 12 states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin.

The enrolling cohort includes multiple owners, founders, CEOs, and executive directors. The various career fields and industries represented include accounting, microbiology, education, environmental science, fundraising, criminal justice, and ministry.
