The Clinton School Proud to Continue Partnering with the American Red Cross

With the recent floods in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas, the work of American Red Cross is as important as it ever has been.

The American Red Cross is currently providing care for flood victims in Colorado, and surrounding states, where more than two-dozen shelters host more than 1,200 guests displaced by recent floods. Responders are also at the Boulder Airport reception center as residents are delivered from what the Colorado National Guard has described as the largest water rescue by helicopter since Hurricane Katrina.

Arkansas responders have been on alert since Friday to be ready to deploy within 24 hours’ notice. As of this morning (Tuesday), The American Red Cross of Arkansas has deployed five mental health responders and a Health Services Manager to coordinate medical needs. They will provide emotional support and guidance to displaced individuals. Additional volunteers across Arkansas with a variety of specialities, such as crews for mobile feeding trucks, remain on alert to help as needs arise. These teams will join the 250 Red Cross workers already on the ground in Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas.

For those wishing to help, you may make general donations at www.redcross.org/Arkansas, by calling 1-800-REDCROSS; or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation (regular service/texting rates may apply).
