Sabrina Roshan is a seasoned impact investing professional, with a focus on creating economic opportunities in frontier markets. She leads America’s Frontier Fund (AFF) Foundation, which focuses on catalyzing new ideas and policies, training skilled workers, building regional innovation hubs, shaping global partnerships with U.S. allies, and driving alignment between policy makers, founders, scientists, and funders through convenings.

One of the initiatives she leads is Global Frontiers, a nonprofit initiative by AFF dedicated to harnessing America’s innovation for global good through tech diplomacy. By bridging the gap between the private sector’s technological advancements and the government’s diplomatic efforts, Global Frontiers serves as a dynamic platform to foster international relationships, promote stabilization efforts and solve global challenges.

Sabrina previously served as the Senior Director of Operations and Strategic Planning for the Rise program at Schmidt Futures, an initiative dedicated to identifying and supporting global talent. Prior to her role at Schmidt Futures, she was the Chief Strategy Officer at Good Machine, a venture studio that develops innovations to address various socio-ecological issues. Sabrina also led expansion strategy and public-private partnerships at Andela, an organization that connects skilled technology talent from emerging markets with leading companies.

Her experience includes significant contributions at the World Bank, where she supported the Office of the U.S. Executive Director and worked on enhancing public sector institutions’ service delivery in Africa.

Sabrina began her career in Afghanistan, focusing on education sector capacity-building programs for youth and educators.

An Afghan-American, she is committed to supporting resettlement and relief efforts for vulnerable Afghans. Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
