Posted by DEAN SKIP RUTHERFORD – The Clinton School welcomed Ambassador Mark Langdale on Tuesday while he and his wife, Patty, were in Little Rock. Ambassador Langdale recently stepped down from his post as U.S. Ambassador to Costa Rica to become chairman of the George W. Bush Foundation. The Bush Foundation will coordinate the planning and construction of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and the Bush Institute on the SMU campus in Dallas.
In addition to visiting the school and meeting informally with Clinton School students, Ambassador Langdale toured the Clinton Library and visited the Clinton Museum Store. The Langdales are long-time friends of the Bush family and were next-door neighbors of President and Mrs. Bush in Dallas before Bush was elected Governor of Texas.
Mark Langdale is greeted by Clinton School student Russ Swearingen.
