Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – As reported below, the Class of 2010 enjoyed a day at the University of Arkansas on Saturday where they lunched with UA faculty and administrators, toured the campus and enjoyed the Razorback football game. After arriving via bus from Little Rock, the students heard from UA chancellor G. David Gearhart and had the opportunity to visit with several UA Board of Trustees members. They also met faculty from the Walton College of Business and the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
After a tour of the beautiful campus set in the Ozark Mountains, the students enjoyed a second meal at the university Alumni House where they spent two hours tailgating before the game. The ballgame itself was a new experience for many of the class members, especially several of the international students. The Razorbacks struggled with what was supposed to be an easy opponent, but pulled out a victory in the closing minutes, beating Western Illinois 28-24.

The students watched the game from the president’s skybox.
