Clinton School students will collect donations this weekend to send to New York for the relief efforts following superstorm Sandy.
The students are requesting donations of nonperishable food items that will be sent to the New York City Food Bank in Brooklyn, as well as work boots that will be sent to the hard-hit Rockaways community in Brooklyn. Monetary donations for the relief efforts will also be accepted. Checks can be made payable to the University of Arkansas Foundation with “Clinton School Sandy Relief” written in the note line.
Collection containers will be open Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Clinton School parking lot at 1200 President Clinton Avenue in downtown Little Rock. Students will be on-site to help unload items.
All donations will be picked up on Tuesday morning and delivered to New York. For questions about the donation drive contact Clinton School student Gregg Potter at gfpotter@clintonschool.uasys.edu.
