The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service embraces the Black Lives Matter movement and its fight for social justice. We stand with our students, alumni, faculty, and staff who have spoken out and served on the front lines during this critical moment in history as the nation is confronted with the recent murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor, which we know are only the latest instances of violence against African Americans in the United States.
This summer, the faculty and staff are actively working together to formalize a public action plan that reaffirms our value that the Clinton School provide the best anti-racist environment and learning experience for all students.
From the academic curriculum, to field service projects, to public programming, to external communication, to school and classroom culture, we must ensure that we are doing all we can to support an environment that not only fights against oppression and discrimination, but is anti-racist and actively fighting for change in policies, laws, and practices at all levels.
