Injury Prevention Center Recognizes Students

The Injury Prevention Center at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, one of this year’s Clinton School public service project partners, recognized four students this month in its newsletter. Here’s what they had to say:

The Injury Prevention Center would like to recognize Ryan Adams, Shenan Boit, Fernando Cutz, and Jasmine Medley from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service as partners in prevention. The four students have been working with IPC this past year to assess the injury prevention needs and resources of the hospitals and EMS providers participating in Arkansas’ new trauma system. Injury prevention is a mandatory component of the trauma designation, and the data produced from the student’s research will help the Statewide Injury Prevention Program (SIPP) provide the most appropriate resources to the various trauma centers. Working with the IPC to develop this survey was one of the eight practicum projects selected for first-year students in the Master of Public Service Degree program. Thank you to Ryan, Shenan, Fernando, Jasmine, and the Clinton School of Public Service for their work!
