Today is the last day to vote for Clinton School student Shamim Okolloh, who is one of 50 finalists for the Student In Service Awards, recognizing outstanding college students whose volunteer service positively impacts society and inspires others to serve. Okolloh was chosen for her work supporting girls’ education at Kaimosi high school in Kenya.
She graduated from Kaimosi, an all-girls high school in a low-income, rural town in Kenya, where the cost of a year’s tuition was $850, and the average family income was $1,600.
