Walden is best known for his three time Emmy-nominated role as Joe Rossi on “Lou Grant,” and as Joe Waters on “Brothers.”

– The U.S. House Democratic leader, Pelosi, D-Calif., will visit the Clinton School to participate in a discussion of current affairs in American politics. Pelosi has represented San Francisco for 25 years in the U.S. House of Representatives. From 2007-2011, Pelosi served as Speaker of the House, the first woman to do so in American history.
“Right To Be Free,” founder Eric Peasah

– Peasah is the founder of Right To Be Free (RTBF), a non-profit organization dedicated to freeing children and women who are victims of slavery, exploitation and other oppressive conditions. He also works closely with government, law enforcement and judiciary agencies, civil society organizations and NGOs to combat human trafficking in Ghana and the West African sub region.

– Acting provost at the Thurgood Marshall College at the University of California, San Diego, Binder’s new book, “Becoming Right,” looks at how today’s right-leaning college students experience life on two university campuses — one an elite private institution, the other a major public university — and how they belong to a web of conservative organizations that provide considerable resources to them.
“Juvenile Law: Implementing Miller/Jackson in Arkansas,” a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program

– The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled in Miller v. Alabama and Jackson v. Hobbs that a mandatory life without parole sentence for juveniles violates the U.S. Constitution’s Eighth Amendment prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment. Originating in Arkansas, the Jackson case was argued before Arkansas Supreme Court in April. Join us for a panel discussion analyzing the court ruling and the consequences for juvenile law across the country. The event is pending approval for five hours of continuing legal education for lawyers.
“Ditch the Keys: Better Air, Better Bicycling,” a public forum

– In conjunction with Bike to Work Day in Central Arkansas, the Clinton School will present a public forum focused on providing tips from biking experts on how to adapt to a biking-friendly lifestyle and a discussion of the future of bicycling in Central Arkansas. This event is part of Ozone Action Days, public awareness program that focuses on reducing ozone air pollution to improve local air quality for healthy communities.
“One Mind for Research,” Retired General Peter Chiarelli

– The former vice chief of staff of the U.S. Army, Chiarelli has 40 years of experience designing and implementing American defense policy for the army and Department of Defense in peace and during combat operations. After retiring from the army in 2012, he was named CEO of One Mind for Reasearch, a non-profit organization dedicated to curing the diseases of the brain and eliminating the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness and brain injuries.
