More Students to Defend Capstone Projects

Another group of Clinton School students will defend their final Capstone projects this Friday in front of a group of students and faculty. The project is the last of three in the two-year Master of Public Service degree program. The students will graduate in May. Here’s a rundown of Friday’s presentations:

9:00 a.m. – 9:35 a.m.
Student: Latonya Wilson
Partner: Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation
Description: Wilson informed the design and implementation of the Foundation’s outcome assessment tool and refined the Foundation’s leverage system.

9:40 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Student: Elrina Frost
Partner: Winrock International
Description: Frost assisted Winrock with assessing the impact of the Northern Uganda Development of Enhanced Local Governance, Infrastructure and Livelihoods (NUDEIL) Program.

10:20 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.
Student: Jack Lofton
Partner: Our House
Description: Lofton created a documentary about the work of Our House, a shelter for the working poor in Little Rock.

11:00 a.m. – 11:35 a.m.
Student: Ben Kaufman
Partner: Timberland Company
Description: Kaufman developed a framework for the calculation of Social Return on Investment for the company’s Sustainable Living Environment program.

1:30 p.m. – 2:05 p.m.
Student: Kimberly Caldwell
Partners: Office of Governor Mike Beebe, Share Our Strength and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance
Description: Caldwell mapped the availability of food resources for children as part of the No Kid Hungry Campaign in Arkansas.

2:10 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Student: Jeerawat Na Thalang
Partner: Arkansas Coalition for Excellence (ACE)
Description: Na Thalang developed a media strategy guide for local nonprofits.

3:30 p.m. – 4:05 p.m.
Student: Debbie Sellnow
Partner: Entertainment Industries Council (EIC)
Description: Sellnow Worked with EIC to help address science, engineering, and technology in American Indian reservation elementary and secondary schools.

4:10 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Student: Ratnasari Dewi
Partner: Rare
Description: Dewi developed a guidebook for campaign managers of Rare’s Pride campaigns, social marketing campaigns focusing on environmental issues
