The team of Clinton School students who grew mustaches last month to raise awareness for prostate cancer participated in a “live shaving” last night on KTHV Channel 11.
The students grew their mustaches for the entire month of “Movember,” raising almost $1,500 toward a more than $6 million nationwide campaign. They were part a group of 65,000 “Mo Bros” who participated across the country.
The students who appeared on KTHV included Ryan Adams, Spencer Lucker, Andy Lewis, Andrew Morgan and Jared Rowell.
They also wore bow ties for their KTHV appearance to support Bow Ties For a Cause, which makes bow ties to raise awareness for a number of issues, including cancer. Bow Ties For a Cause was begun by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Dhani Jones with the help of Clinton School grad Chad Williamson.
The yellow “Livestrong” bow ties they wore support the efforts of Lance Armstrong’s foundation that raises money and awareness in the fight against cancer.
