Paxton Richardson (’18) has joined The BridgeWay, a mental health hospital in North Little Rock, Ark., as a PRN Therapist.
In her new role, Richardson will be conducting biopsychosocial assessments on new patients, developing treatment plans, facilitating group therapy (process, psychoeducational, and skills groups) and discharge planning.
After graduating from the Clinton School in 2018, Richardson enrolled in the Master of Social Work degree program at UA Little Rock and completed the two-year degree in May 2020.
“While at the Clinton School, one of my public service interest areas was mental health and I realized that I needed a deeper understanding of it,” Richardson said.
As a Clinton School student, Richardson conducted a needs assessment for the DREAM Project, a Dominican nonprofit, in the summer of 2017 as part of her International Public Service Project. Her Capstone project identified barriers to university student success on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic.
In addition to her MPS and MSW, Richardson is a graduate of Gonzaga University with degrees in communication and sociology.
