A group of students, faculty and other university representatives with the Rwanda Presidential Scholars program met today at the Clinton School. Led by Hendrix College in Conway, the program includes 12 colleges and universities that work with the Rwandan government to provide four-year undergraduate scholarships to Rwandan college students.
The consortium is currently the largest provider of scholarships to the Rwanda Ministry of Education, with 81 students enrolled in undergraduate studies as of the fall semester of this year.
Clinton School Dean Skip Rutherford addressed the group at a reception Thursday night at the Clinton Center. The group then held panel discussions and meetings at the Clinton Center and Clinton School all day Friday.
