School, 2 Local Nonprofits to Hit the Ice this Afternoon

The Clinton School will host an afternoon of ice skating today for children served by two local nonprofits.

Clinton School students, faculty and staff will join children from Safe Places, a violence prevention organization, and Arkansas Commitment, which promotes education and leadership among young African Americans, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the new “Arvest River Market on Ice” skating rink.

The group will be the first to hit the ice before the rink officially opens to the public on November 20.

The event is part of a public service project being completed by Clinton School student Mark Lienhart, who is working with the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) to create public service programming at the River Market.
