Students Helping Market Restaurant that Employs Adults with Disabilities

For their Practicum public service project, a team of Clinton School students is helping promote special events at an Arkadelphia, Ark.,-based restaurant that employs adults with developmental disabilities. As part of the project, the students issued a press release today about a special Valentine’s Day dinner theater promotion at the Honeycomb Restaurant and Bakery.

The students are helping the restaurant develop marketing strategies to increase awareness, customer base, support and revenue. The restaurant is a social enterprise of Group Living, Inc., that provides job training and employment opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Below is the students’ press release:

ARKADELPHIA – To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the Honeycomb Restaurant and Bakery will host two nights of dinner theater on Feb. 13 and 14 when it presents A.R. Gurney’s drama “Love Letters” in downtown Arkadelphia.

The Feb. 13 dinner will feature a choice of brisket or chicken cordon bleu for $30 per person or $50 per couple. The Feb. 14 menu will include a choice of ribeye steak or chicken cordon bleu for $30 per person of $60 per couple. All meals will include loaded baked potato, green bean bundles, desert and drink. Beer and wine will be sold separately.

The first course will be served at 6:30 p.m. and showtime is at 7:00 p.m.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling 870-245-2333. Monday, Feb. 11 is the last day to make reservations. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Arkadelphia Little Theatre.
