– Internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work in gender violence prevention education with men and boys, Katz will give a lecture titled, “More Than a Few Good Men: A Lecture on American Manhood and Violence Against Women.”

Sharon Robinson, “Testing the Ice: A True Story about Jackie Robinson”
Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall) *Book signing to follow
– Robinson, daughter of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, will discuss her new children’s book, “Testing the Ice,” which tells the story of her father confronting his fear of water to take his children ice skating.

Karen Mathis, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America
Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall)
– Mathis is the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the nation’s largest donor-based volunteer network of mentors for children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country.
