Dean James L. “Skip” Rutherford III and graduates Kelly Fleming (‘13) and Marquita Little Numan (‘09) were honored as members of the Arkansas 250, the annual look from Arkansas Business at the people who shape the way Arkansans live, learn, and do business.
In addition to serving as Dean of the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, Rutherford serves on a number of boards around the state. The Clinton School is the first in the nation to offer a Master of Public Service degree, both online and in a classic classroom setting.
Kelly Fleming is the Director of Development for the Arkansas Arts Center, a cultural beacon and a catalyst for advancing arts education, enhancing the quality of life, and promoting civic and cultural development in central Arkansas. Fleming and the Arkansas Arts Center are more than 90 percent toward reaching a fundraising goal to renovate the AAC’s MacArthur Park building. Fleming has been with the organization since 2013.
Marquita Little Numan recently completed her first year as President and CEO of the Urban League of Arkansas, a role that is the culmination of her nearly 20-year career in public service. A civil rights organization with a mission to assure that all Arkansans have equal access to opportunities, the Urban League of Arkansas focuses on four key areas: health and wellness, housing, jobs, and education.
