Dr. Charlotte Williams, Professor and Director of the Clinton School Center on Community Philanthropy, will be delivering the opening keynote at the inaugural Festival of Philanthropy on Thursday, November 7, 2024. This event celebrates Arkansas’s philanthropic spirit by honoring individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact in the community.
Organized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Arkansas Chapter, the festival combines the 42nd annual National Philanthropy Day (NPD) awards luncheon with an all-day professional development conference at Little Rock’s Robinson Center & DoubleTree Hotel.
The Association of Fundraising Professionals empowers individuals and organizations to practice ethical fundraising through professional education, networking, research, and advocacy.
During the Festival of Philanthropy, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about Dr. Williams’s co-authored book, “Passing the Torch: Planning for the Next Generation of Leaders in Public Service,” which provides an in-depth analysis of succession planning across various nonprofit organizations, exploring what motivates the next generation of public servants.
Congratulations Dr. Williams:
That sounds wonderful! I hope you continue to let me stay in touch with you all. The center seems to still be doing great things for Little Rock.
