The Founding Dean David Pryor Scholarship Fund was established with an initial gift from alumnus Dr. Gary Wheeler (’07) and his family. Dr. Wheeler, a pediatrician and graduate of the Clinton School’s second class, was deeply inspired by the “calm grace and sincerity” of Sen. Pryor and envisioned the scholarship as a way to honor Sen. Pryor’s legacy of public service and mentorship while ensuring that the next generation of public service leaders can lead with the same integrity and compassion that Sen. Pryor championed.
