Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Former President Bill Clinton and Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe today announced a new partnership to reduce the effects of climate change in the state. The partnership is a result of a Capstone project underway by Clinton School student J.D. Lowery.
The project partners state governement and the Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) to reduce green house gas emissions through a number of energy saving measures. Lowery, who is working in the governor’s policy office on sustainability issues for his final Capstone project, spent his summer working with CCI in Australia. He used relationships developed through both projects to help launch the new initiative. CLICK HERE for more on the story.
