Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – Jerry Springer of chair-throwing TV talk show fame, gave a very engaging lecture last night at the Clinton School about the state of the middle class in America today. Springer, a self-proclaimed liberal, waxed eloquently about the constant battle between America’s liberal and conservative political movements. While calling for more attention to education and health care, Springer warned his fellow liberals to check their “elitism” at the door, specifically in regards to the intelligence and abilities of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Springer’s lecture will be featured tomorrow on our Web site www.clintonschoolspeakers.com. It will also be aired on C-SPAN in the coming weeks.
Springer hosts “The Jerry Springer Show” on NBC and is a former city councilman and mayor of Cincinnati, Ohio where he once ran for governor. Recently, he began hosting a political talk show on Air America radio and “America’s Got Talent” on ABC.
