Marquita Little Numan (‘09) has been named to the inaugural Arkansas Money & Politics Future 50. The Future 50 is a list of Arkansas’ business and political leaders poised to shape the future.
The inaugural list was determined through nominations submitted by Arkansas Money & Politics readers.
Little Numan recently joined the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation as its new Leadership Officer. A native of Little Rock, she has spent her career tackling issues from affordable housing to health reform and economic empowerment.
She owns a consulting firm, Little Consulting Company, focused on supporting equitable community solutions. She previously served as CEO of the Urban League of Arkansas, overseeing the revitalization of the historic civil rights organization following its 20-year closure.
Little Numan spent nearly a decade working in public policy with Arkansas Advocates and the Arkansas Department of Human Services. She was a program evaluation consultant with the Arkansas Minority Health Commission and handled case management and counseling work with Youth Villages in Memphis. Her career started in direct service – working with Habitat for Humanity in Dallas as part of AmeriCorps VISTA.
Little Numan has served on the boards of Arkansas Association for Infant Mental Health, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Arkansas Nonprofit Alliance, and co-founded the Little Rock Chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN).
In addition to her Master of Public Service from the Clinton School, Little Numan is a 2005 graduate of Hendrix College.
