Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – In honor of Presidents’ Day today and Abraham Lincoln’s birthday last week on February 12, the Clinton School has two rare artifacts on display in Sturgis Hall.
Dean Skip Rutherford has supplied an original copy of the New York Tribune from April 18, 1865, four days following Lincoln’s assassination, and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola brought by his original copy of the New York Herald from April 19, 1865.
The items will be on display through the end of February. Stop by Sturgis Hall during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-F) to view the items.
