Kristin Lindsey serves as the COO of Council on Foundations which is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit membership association of more than 2,000 grant making foundations and corporations, with assets totaling more than $282 billion.

Prior to joining the Council, Ms. Lindsey was founder and principal of Intersector Consulting, a practice that worked with foundations and philanthropic associations on strategy, learning and evaluation, communications, and program development.  Her firm worked with clients in the US and abroad. Before establishing her consulting firm, Ms. Lindsey was Senior Vice President at the Donors Forum of Chicago, a membership organization serving 1,200 nonprofits and foundations in the greater Chicago area. She currently serves as a board member of the Virginia Network of Nonprofit Organizations and the Petersburg Public Library Foundation and has served on the Association of Black Foundation Executives, the Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers, and Grantmakers for Effective Organizations.  

Kristin attended the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois, and did her graduate study at DePaul University.
