Rachel Norris serves as the Director of Domestic Programs. In this role, she oversees the Practicum program, a year-long field service project completed by first-year Master of Public Service students. Norris is also responsible for developing strategic partnerships with local and national organizations and cultivating high-quality field service opportunities that allow students to apply their academic training in real-world settings.
Prior to joining the Clinton School, Norris served as the Director of Education at the Arkansas Cinema Society. During her time there, she designed and implemented film industry-focused curricula across multiple programs, wrote grants to secure strategic funding for all educational programs, and strengthened sponsor relationships. An experienced educator, she has taught in both Boston and Little Rock as a high school science teacher. Her background also includes service with City Year Little Rock and leadership roles such as the Education Task Force Chair for Think Big Little Rock.
Norris holds a Master of Teaching degree from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has also earned a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from Cornell University. An active member of the community, she has volunteered with Just Communities of Arkansas and Think Big Little Rock.
