A Day Without Shoes

TOMS Shoes, the popular company that gives away a pair of shoes to a child in need for each pair purchased, is asking people to go “One Day Without Shoes” today to experience life without shoes first-hand.

Several Clinton School students are participating in the day without shoes to help spread awareness about how a pair of shoes can affect a child’s life.

The TOMS program has helped thousands of children in developing countries avoid injury and disease because of the lack of shoes.

TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie spoke at the Clinton School last year about his company’s unique concept. The video of Mycoskie’s lecture is below.

TOMS works in several developing countries, including Ethiopia where two Clinton School students will be working this summer. More details on those projects to come.
