The 2010 Clinton School admissions application deadline is Jan. 15, 2010, and the school encourages all aspiring public servants with a passion for social needs to apply to the two-year graduate program.

The first school in the nation to offer a Master of Public Service (MPS), the Clinton School welcomes students of all ages, backgrounds and ideologies to apply to join the program.  Every year, the school enrolls students from across the country and the world  who want to further their careers in the areas of non-profit, governmental, volunteer or private sector service.

Clinton School graduates have gone on to work for government and nongovernment organizations such as the World Bank, Habitat for Humanity, the Wal-Mart Foundation, the William J. Clinton Foundation and the Arkansas Department of Health.

“I’m proud of every one of our graduates,” former President Bill Clinton said recently. “And I look forward to seeing the difference they’ll make in the years to come.”

The MPS degree is an affordable option, especially in trying economic times, with the full 36-hour program costing less than $15,000 with numerous opportunities for financial aid.

Clinton School students come from many different backgrounds, with public service interests and experience ranging from Peace Corps, AmeriCorps and military veterans to medical, business and non-profit professionals.

“Whether your passion is health care, education, the environment or the fight against hunger and poverty, our program offers the opportunity to learn how to make a difference,” said Clinton School Dean Skip Rutherford.

In addition to core courses in public service and elective studies, Clinton School students complete three public service projects at the group and individual levels, both domestically and internationally.

Since accepting its first class in 2005, Clinton School students have completed projects in more than 30 countries on six continents. Click here for more information on the school’s curriculum, including public service projects.

“While we are looking for students with strong academic credentials, we are equally interested in those who are distinctly passionate about serving the needs of the world,” said Alex Thomas, director of Admissions at the Clinton School.
