Alumni Weekend Set for May 2-3, Featuring Inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award Presentation

The Clinton School of Public Service invites alumni to reconnect and celebrate during Alumni Weekend, set for May 2-3 in Little Rock, Ark.

Friday, May 2 | 5-7 p.m.

The weekend kicks off with a reception at Sturgis Hall. The event will honor Academic Dean Susan Hoffpauir and Registrar Jeanne Stovall, who are retiring at the end of the academic year.

Saturday, May 3 | 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Saturday morning offers an opportunity to give back with optional service projects that will last from 8 a.m. to noon. 

In the afternoon, alumni and their families are invited to Southern Tail Brewing from 1-4 p.m. for a family-friendly gathering with food and beverages provided.

Clinton School to Present Inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award

As part of this year’s Alumni Weekend, the Clinton School will introduce the Distinguished Alumni Award, a new honor celebrating the outstanding achievements of Clinton School graduates.

This award recognizes alumni who have made sustained and significant contributions in their careers and communities, addressing critical public service issues and fostering positive, lasting impact.

Nomination Process

Anyone may submit a nomination or self-nomination. Nominees must have graduated at least seven years prior to the current graduating class.

To nominate an alumnus, submit a nomination letter of no more than two pages via email to Mallory Mounce at mmounce@clintonschool.uasys.edu.

The letter should highlight:

  • Career Distinction: How the nominee has demonstrated excellence in their professional work at the local, state, national, or international level and how their achievements reflect positively on the Clinton School.
  • Commitment to Service: The nominee’s ongoing dedication to service, including involvement in charitable, nonprofit, military, community, or public service efforts.
  • Supporting Materials: If applicable, include links to articles or other sources showcasing the nominee’s impact. Please list web references rather than attaching full articles.

The recipient must be present at Alumni Weekend to accept the award.
