Posted by ERIC WILSON – Chancellar Williams is pictured above in between two of his classmates on graduation day (April 25, 2009). We just receive news that Chancellar accepted a position with the Media and Democracy Coalition (MDC) as their program and outreach manager.
The MDC is a collaboration of more than three-dozen organizations united to amplify the voice of the public in debates over media and telecommunications issues. MDC brings together leaders in the media policy and organizing fields to work together, develop and share resources, make strategic planning and investment decisions, and expand the number and type of organizations that work for public interest media policies.
“This should be an amazing opportunity, and since I collaborated with them on my capstone project it will also feel like something of a homecoming,” Chancellar said. “I will oversee the MDC’s membership recruitment and outreach, communications, as well as support the organization’s policy work on media and telecommunications issues.
