Applications Open for Summer 2022 IPSP Host Organizations

IPSP Application Form

The Office of Community Engagement at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service is accepting applications for potential host organizations for International Public Service Projects in Summer 2022.

All students will complete their International Public Service Projects between May and July 2022. Projects can be completed remotely if preferred or if necessary due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

The deadline for an organization to submit a project opportunity is December 4, 2021.

The list of projects will be made available to students in late December.

Host organizations must commit to the following three requirements:

• Provide a Project Supervisor: Partners are asked to provide a project supervisor who is fully involved in the project providing supervision, guidance, and continuous feedback.

• Provide a Project Orientation: Partners must provide students with a thorough orientation to the project(s), organization, and community.

• Complete an Assessment: At the end of the project, partners must submit a brief assessment of student performance and provide general feedback about the project. This will be sent by Clinton School staff to the project supervisor.

Questions should be directed to Tiffany Jacob, Director of International Programs and Outreach at tljacob@clintonschool.uasys.edu.

The Clinton School’s International Public Service Project is designed to provide students with practical experience with an organization that fosters an immersive cross-cultural experience or domestically with an organization that has a global mission to its work within the United States.

The IPSP, the second of three major field service projects, provides students with the opportunity to apply learning acquired during the first year of the MPS curriculum by testing newly developed skills in a setting that stretches the boundaries of one’s existing cultural and experiential world ultimately creating the conditions for academic, professional and personal growth.
