Posted by DEAN SKIP RUTHERFORD – Arkansas First Lady Ginger Beebe signed copies of the 2009 Arkansas Artists Calendar Sunday at the Clinton School. In addition, several of the artists whose works appear in the book were at the school to also sign copies and visit with guests. Over 135 books were purchased—making it the largest single Artist Calendar book sales event to date.

Clinton School students Josh Stokes, Ali Turro, Lisa Porterfield Thompson, Emily Fischer, Julianne Dunn, Alejandro Aviles, Ashley Davis, Olivia Wilmot, Joanna Klak, Tina Tian, Chad Williamson, Faisal Umar, Nicholas Hall and Adam Penman attended the signing and the reception.
Proceeds from the book sales benefit the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion Association. For those who missed the event, books can be ordered from www.friendsofthemansion.org. It features the works of 88 Arkansas artists and is a great holiday gift.
