Clinton School student Beatrice Biira of Uganda, who made her way out of poverty thanks to a goat provided to her family by Heifer International, appeared Sunday on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends,” where she told her incredible story.
At age 9, Biira’s family received the goat and was able to sell goat’s milk to make enough money to finally send Beatrice to school. A successful primary education in Uganda led her to the United States where she attended Connecticut College before pursuing her master’s in public service at the Clinton School.
“I hope that I can take my leadership skills and all of the practical knowledge I have learned at the Clinton School to be able to go back to my village and give back to my people,” Biira told Fox.
