Carl Carter, a second-year student in the Executive Master of Public Service degree program, has been announced as one of 10 inductees in the 2019 class of RISMedia’s Real Estate Newsmakers Hall of Fame. Carter will travel to Washington, D.C., for the induction ceremony on May 19.
Carter, who works with RE/MAX Elite in North Little Rock and is the founder of the Beverly Carter Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving agent safety. His mother, realtor Beverly Carter, lost her life at the hands of two people posing as clients in 2014. Since his mother’s passing, Carter has dedicated as much time as possible to spreading the message of safety, traveling across the United States speaking to escrow agents, lenders, agents and brokers about how to avoid becoming victims of crime and how to protect their clients as well.
The Beverly Carter Foundation’s efforts to realize its mission include programs for improving safety, educational resources, instructor-led training and certification programs, safety seminars and certification events, technology support, victim support and advocacy, and agent safety legislation.
