Seth Wyatt, a 2024 graduate of the Clinton School of Public Service and native of Cabot, Ark., attended college in Kentucky before returning to Arkansas to earn his Master of Public Service at the Clinton School.
For his final Capstone project, Wyatt partnered with the City of Warren and Mayor Gregg Reep, focusing on economic development and job creation for the rural Arkansas community. He collected data from Warren and surrounding counties using ArcGIS software, a web-based mapping tool that integrates and connects data through the context of geography.
Wyatt’s final deliverable included a data report of key economic, demographic, and marketing information for the City of Warren. He provided Mayor Reep and the city with the tools necessary to understand the types of businesses that would be successful in Warren, and how to engage with those businesses.
This fall, Wyatt will return to Warren to deliver a follow-up report on his findings as the city plans to implement the use of ArcGIS software with its staff.
