Posted by BEN BEAUMONT – A group of Clinton School students, faculty and staff toured the future home of the school’s River Market Campus this morning. The school will have two classrooms, a conference room and office space on the third floor of the old Budget Office Building, which is being renovated as part of the Central Arkansas Library System’s new Center for Arkansas Studies. Students will have access to other parts of the building as well to utilize for studying.
“Our new River Market campus should meet our classroom needs for several years,” Clinton School Dean Skip Rutherford said in a press release announcing the new space. “Because our students spend so much time completing public service projects off campus, we don’t need much infrastructure. And as part of our commitment to maximize existing urban resources, The Central Arkansas Library serves as our school library; the River Market as our student union; and when we need large auditorium space, we use the Clinton Presidential Center and the Statehouse Convention Center.
