Clinton School Speaker Series: This Week’s Speakers

It’s a busy week in the Clinton School Speaker Series. Here’s a run down of the events we have on the schedule for the rest of the week:

“Edwin Edwards: Governor of Louisiana,” author Leo Honeycutt
Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall) *Book signing to follow
– A former broadcast journalist, Honeycutt will discuss his book, an authorized biography of former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards, who served a historic four terms in office before being sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for extortion in 2001.

“The Art of Choosing,” author Sheena Iyengar
Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall) *Book signing to follow
– A Columbia University professor of psychology, Iyengar will discuss her book, “The Art of Choosing,” which draws on her award-winning research about the complex relationship between freedom and choice to help us become better decision makers.

Lady Xa Tollemache, renowned landscape and garden designer
Friday, April 1, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall) – In Partnership with P. Allen Smith
– Xa Tollemache has been designing gardens since 1996 and has worked in London as well as the United States, Europe and Scandinavia. Her projects range from small courtyard gardens to large estates, and include the Millennium Garden at Castle Hill in Devon, new boarders at Dunbeath Castle in Scotland and the Cloister Garden at Wilton House near Sailisbury.
