“Fight Club Politics,” Juliet Eilperin of the Washington Post
Monday, April 14, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall)
– At the Washington Post, Juliet Eilperin reports on science, policy and politics in areas including climate change, oceans and air quality. A former political reporter, Eilperin published her first book in 2005 entitled, “Fight Club Politics: How Partisanship is Poisoning the House of Representatives.”

Andrew Sullivan, Senior Editor of The Atlantic, hosted with Philander Smith College’s “Bless the Mic” Lecture Series
Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. (Philander Smith College, ML Harris Auditorium)
– A senior editor of The Atlantic and a columnist for The Sunday Times of London, Andrew Sullivan was one of the first journalists to experiment with blogging. His popular blog, The Daily Dish, can be found on the homepage of The Atlantic.com.

“Home Electricity from the Wind,” Curt and Christine Mann
Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. (Sturgis Hall)
– Real estate developer Curt Mann and his wife Christine have caused a buzz in their historic Atlanta neighborhood since installing a wind turbine in their yard to generate electricity. The couple will tell their story in a visit to the Clinton School.
