Clinton School Team Wins Region in Policy Solutions Challenge

A team of Clinton School students won first place in the South region of Policy Solutions Challenge USA, a national competition among teams of students from U.S. schools of public policy, public affairs and public administration to develop innovative solutions to the most important policy problems facing the country.

Clinton School students Mara D’AmicoAngela BukenyaChristine Sumner and Jillian Underwood competed against teams from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which finished second, and the University of Texas at Dallas. The Clinton School and Georgia Tech teams will advance to the national finals in Washington D.C.. during the third week of March.

The topic of this year’s challenge was “Responses to Childhood Obesity in the U.S.” The teams gave individual presentations on Friday and received feedback from a panel of judges. The final public presentations and awards ceremony were Sunday.
